The Green Museum
At the Green Museum, you can experience hunting, forestry, agriculture and food - all together in one museum for the first time.
For all ages
The Green Museum offers the opportunity to experience hunting, forests, agriculture and food in a single museum for the very first time.
The beautiful and vibrant museum is located in stunning surroundings in Auning in Djursland. From the moment you arrive at the museum, you will feel the history of the countryside we live in and live off and experience a world of domestic animals, fields, vegetable gardens, traditions, people, machinery and stories as the seasons change.
Take a trip out into the blue with friends and family and enjoy a day full of adventure – both indoors and out – with lots to see, touch and smell.
We have 6,000 m2 of exhibitions, a playground and visitor centres under one roof. Outside we have a large historic kitchen garden, an apple orchard, animals and our organic farm.

A forest of activities
You can experience events, activities, exhibitions, and much more all year round.
For example, we regularly fill our museum with volunteers who make tractors and forest machines roar, kitchens smell of cooking, workshops abuzz with life and fields grow with produce.
The Museum during the holidays
During the holidays, we fill the days with activities and immersions for all ages.
Come and try your hand at the traditional crafts that have always been part of the lives of hunters, foresters, farmers and cooks.
Each holiday has its own theme – follow the website.

The living heritage
Test your senses in the historic kitchen garden, where you can get to taste, smell and admire.
We keep old domestic Danish breeds of animal around the museum.
